What's in a Name?

Traditionally, the best wine growing regions are located between the 30th & 50th parallel, both north and south.

The Hunter Valley is no exception to this and lies on Latitude 32 (hence our name).

First planted to vines in 1823, home to some of the world’s oldest Syrah vines, with soils dating back over 250 million years the Hunter is the birthplace of Australian wine.

We pay homage to classic Hunter Valley styles as well as emerging varietals and blends. Having control of the process from grape to glass, Latitude 32 Wines delivers every time .

It all started with a Dream...

Corporate Renegades Emma & David are senior finance professionals who have spent the past 25 years working in large multi-national businesses in both the UK and Australia.

Known as "Wine Chasers" by their friends, after many years of research and planning, in 2019 they finally found the perfect premium, old vine vineyard in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley. Now in control of the process from grape to glass they are at last living their dream.

New to the wine industry, but not to wine, we are not bound by rules of the past or restricted by multi-generational family traditions.

Our goal is to ensure our customers have fun and enjoy traditional wines they love to drink from the Hunter, whilst also bringing new varietals and blends as trends and preferences evolve, adapting to the changing eco-system in which we live.

..And ended up with a lot of hard work...

Having planted out by hand 1 hectare of own-root stock Shiraz vines in 2021, a further 5 hectares of vineyard will be planted out in 2023.

Focusing on emerging grape varietals which are perfectly suited to the Hunter’s evolving climate, our new plantings will bring exciting new wines for the region, whilst still delivering on the traditional wines we know and love from our existing 40 year-old vines.

To complement our own vineyard, we have access to some premium parcels of fruit from other growers. Having control of the process; from grape to glass.
